Clifton Scientific Trust believes that there is an urgent need for new vision in science education, for a science education that really does promote excellence and relevance for all young people, which motivates and skills, and which prepares for an increasingly technological global future. This is the key challenge which faces education in the 21st century.

We are convinced that the key to the future is to enable young people to have a genuine share in "Science for Real", in science as it is used by real people in the real world, in contexts where their imagination and their contribution are truly valued. This means building working partnerships between science in schools and the wider world of science, engineering and technology in the community.

We offer our Website as a meeting point for these concerns. There is a real need to share at grass roots, nationally and internationally, experiences of strategies which really do work. If these are matters which are of concern to you, as a teacher, a parent, a young person, a scientist, an engineer, an industrialist, a politician, or an ordinary member of the public who is concerned where society is going, we would genuinely like to hear from you.
