Julian's Comments
This group appeared similar to the Space Science group, yet focused on
planet earth! The Earth Sciences department have mostly hosted the workshop and
allowed the students to maximise use of their facilities to investigate the
effects of volcanoes, ash and molten lava. This has proved to be an extremely
interesting affair because of the way it allows students to apply science to
(what will be for them) a completely new field. Again this group have the
benefit of a very hands-on approach and have succeeded very well in their
thorough research.
