Our Primary School-Scientist partnerships have immense value for pupils from the earliest years of primary education upwards and for pupils of all abilities and backgrounds.
Our focus is to give pupils a sense of involvement in the world of real life science where they can question and be creative in their own right.
Our work in this area to date has principally been with Bristol LEA through our
- Primary Science Day programme
- Scientists working with Primary Schools
- Continuing Professional Development courses for Primary School teachers
Much of this work was based on a survey of Bristol LEA teachers' attitudes to School-Science-Engineering Partnerships. The vast majority of the responses were from Primary Schools.
